Adams Brothers was established in 1896 in Odebolt Iowa and Wahpeton ND. by William P. Adams for his sons Robert B. and John Q. Adams. In 1946 Registered Herefords were introduced by William P. Adams II, grandson of the founder who in 1963 moved the operation to its present location in Kilgore Nebraska. In 1973 the ranch was sold by W.P. Adams II to his son in law William M.W. Sharp who continues raising Registered Herefords. In the modern era of the ranch under the management of Roger Chenoweth we continue to raise Purebred Hereford bulls and heifers for sale. A long time leader in the show ring having won Grand Championships at Denver for Bulls, Heifers and Carloads in the 1990s we continue to raise the type of cattle demanded by progressive cattlemen. A cross breeding program was established in 2002 utilizing Red Angus bulls on our straight bred Hereford cows and the resulting F1 steers and heifers are what the commercial industry is looking for today.
We have purebred Hereford bulls and heifers for sale as well as Red Angus Hereford F1 crosses for sale at the ranch any time.
